Shitty-Ass Weekend

September 12, 2004

This has not been a cakewalk. My stupid back is hurting thanks to the dumb bitch who rear-ended my ass last month. I didn’t get any sleep last night because people called me early and woke my ass up. Worst of all, my Grandpa, the cool one, the war hero, the one who paid for my college, is dying in the hospital in Florida and I can’t even be there because Hurricane Ivan sucks my nuts.

I feel like ass, and I look like ass because I don’t even have the energy to pluck my eyebrows or shave my legs. Funny how body hair control is the first thing to go when crisis strikes.

Back to the Blog

September 1, 2004

So after a long time off, mostly because I had no internet access while in Seattle, I’m finally back in Claremont and back to blogging.

The biggest news of the past month or so was my car accident in Seattle on the 19th of August. This old lady was looking for her cat when she should have been looking for her brake and she plowed into the back of my car at 30mph. My back is kind of fucked up now, which isn’t any fun, but I’m surviving.

In other news, Andy and I had our two year anniversary yesterday. I see it as a huge acheivement, especially considering that my journal entries from 5 years ago say things like, “I’ll never fall in love because I’m too scared of getting hurt.” But here I am, having been through some terrible times with unrequited love, and I got back on the horse and fell in love again. I’m proud of myself, and I’m proud of him and I love him like crazy.

So basically, things couldn’t be better. I have a badass room, classes I like, a great job, and a wonderful man. I’m in a good place and I’m going to enjoy it, damnit!

Hope everyone is well.
