Bloghaus Rocks, I Sleep

January 11, 2007

I feel really, really bad that I wasn’t able to spend more time at the fabulous Bloghaus put on by our buddies at PodTech. It was quite the suite. Seagate definitely got their money’s worth.

I got a chance to meet some really wonderful people, and to see folks that I hadn’t seen in a long while. Eric Rice was hanging out, as well as Jeremy Pepper, Andru Edwards and Thomas Hawk. As a special treat I finally got to meet Jeremiah Owyang, who I’ve only chatted with online before. He’s just as cool in person as I thought he’d be. I also got a chance to spend a little bit of time with Linda Furrier, who I like more every time I talk to her. Kudos to the Scobles and the Furriers and all the PodTech team for making an unbelievable blogger lounge come together.

I’m back at the hotel right now and we have an early flight tomorrow. I don’t know how so many of these bloggers do the sleep deprivation thing. I feel like a lightweight when I watch Jeremiah work the show floor all day and blog/drink/socialize all night long. All I want to do is go to sleep for a million years…

Good lord! You guys are crazy. We’d haul our asses over there if we didn’t have to go straight to the airport.

[...] I also heard from others about how bloggers are discredited as “any idiot with an opinion”. I had an engaging conversation with Steve Brobeck and Teresa (who I saw at the airport) suggested that the problem isn’t with bloggers but with the inaccurate content. [...]

Teresa, glad you had a fun….we had even more fun bringing all of you folks together. I was also glad to have the chance to meet you again. You are one of this world’s few who has a deep inner beauty. By the way, love the new shoes…gotta get a pic of those beauties up on your blog…remarkable!

Linda: You are such a sweetie! I wish we had more time to hang out and actually get to know one another better. It seems like every time we’re all together, it’s work work work. Perhaps next year I’ll actually spend some more time over at the Bloghaus doing the blogging thing.

As for posting the shoes, I’m one step ahead of you.
