Open Letter To Senator Clinton

April 28, 2008

Dear Hillary Clinton,
You blew your opportunity to be President in 2008. You honestly should have waited until 2012 or 2016, after becoming a more established politician in your own right. But you still were highly intelligent, qualified, and driven, and if you had planned properly for a competitive race, used the web to a stronger advantage, and ran a tight, disciplined campaign with internal unity rather than in-fighting, you would likely have beaten Obama, who, while brilliant and inspiring, did not perform as well as you did in many of the early debates.

But you didn’t, and you lost. Deal with it and move on.

Sincerely, Reality.

Since she’s a more senior politician than Obama, why didn’t HE wait until 2012?

    1) Obama has not run on “34 years of experience.” Clinton decided to bill herself as the ‘experience’ candidate, which means she needs to actually have it.

    2) If Obama only cared about being President for his own personal ambition, he probably would have waited. I think he felt DC politics were in desperate need of a change.

    3) Is she a more senior politician than Obama? He has served elected office longer than she has.

    4) Arguments 1-3 are irrevelant. Whether or not Hillary should have waited until 2012 or 2016 is irrevelant, The fact that Clinton trails by 135 total delegates and 156 pledged delegates is, and cannot make up the difference in the remaining states without winning by a higher margin than she received in her home states of Arkansas and New York is. She lost two months ago.

Got something to say?
