Obama Takes The Lead In Super delegates

May 10, 2008

Not that I think super delegates should matter or even exist, but they are trickling in for Obama. Hopefully he will reach 2,025 on May 20th. Since that is the “winning number” both candidates have quoted for over a year, I can’t see Hillary sticking around after that.

Also, I would like add that, for all those who are saying Hillary should stay in, I would agree fully, if, IF, she was not
a) trying to change the rules by seating and MI and FL, and pretending like Obama is trying to disenfranchise them
b) attacking Obama
c) willing to have the super delegates overturn the pledged delegates.

Oh, and I absolutely still cannot believe that some feminists think that a woman who got as far as she did in part by riding on her husband’s coattails and is refusing to acknowledge that she lost the nomination is somehow doing the feminist movement a service by staying in the race.

At this point, I don’t think it really matters if she stays in the race or not. It would have been wonderful had she dropped out a month earlier, but I think people, including Sen. Clinton, realize that she wil NOT, be running for president. I do agree that she should quit trying to get the Mi, Fl delegates seated, its an absurdity at this point. We all know you can’t change the rules in the middle of the game. She may even do Obama a favor if she begins attacking McCain while the spotlight is still on. It would redeem her significantly in my eyes if she kamakaze atttack the republican battleship. It is good to know that this brutal primary is almost over, and we can soon turn our eyes to a rout of the republicans in November.
