When Pat Robertson Says Outrageous Things, Blame People for the American Way

July 17, 2008

After all, Robertson himself does.

I said it yesterday morning on Wilshire & Washington and I’ll say it again here: these so-called Evangelical leaders are making themselves more and more irrelevant with every crazy word out of their mouths. I’m starting to get the sense that many Christians are getting really fed up with being represented and led around by these guys.

Let’s hope that trend continues.

That pretty much goes for any minister who steps outside the pulpit and starts dabbling in the uglier side of politics. Wright and Jackson have made themselves less relevant lately too…

Not a single example in the video. Isn’t that what Fox News and O’ Reily do to moderates, progressives, and democrats?

While I salute Pat’s bravery and passion, I have to say his mission and tactics seem to be several degrees awry.

Got something to say?
